Two secondary school students, aged 15 and 16, were killed when a car crashed into them after failing to stop at the traffic lights.

SEREMBAN: Police are seeking footage from motorists’ dashboard cameras (dashcams) showing a fatal accident in which two teenagers were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a car which did not stop at the traffic lights.

Seremban police chief Hatta Che Din said two eyewitnesses have come forward to provide statements. “We are conducting further investigations into the case,” he said.

He urged those with dashcam recordings to come forward as the car driver, his passenger, and two other motorcyclists, are still in hospital and have yet to give their statements.

“Based on our investigation, the 18-year-old driver did not possess a driving licence,” he said.

The two schoolboys, aged 15 and 16, died after their motorcycle and another machine were hit by a Honda Jazz near the Matahari Height traffic light junction on Thursday night.

The car, driven by a teenage boy, allegedly failed to stop at a red traffic light. The two people in the car and the two other motorcyclists were seriously injured. - FMT
