City Hall said the focus of the operation, carried out in collaboration with Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, was to ensure that drains, walkways and the surrounding areas were free of rubbish and dirt.
“This intensive clean-up operation was held to ensure the area remains clean after the end of the bazaar, which draws thousands of visitors throughout Ramadan.
“The practice of maintaining cleanliness is a shared responsibility.
“DBKL encourages everyone, including traders and visitors, to practise the concept of leaving behind ‘zero waste’ to reduce the negative impact on the environment,” it said. - FMT
