Seremban police chief Hatta Che Din said the 35-year-old was arrested at the Seremban police headquarters this afternoon to facilitate investigations, Bernama reported.
The case is being investigated under Sections 323 and 427 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and committing mischief.
“The man is said to have used force on the victim, 28, bruising her in the right ribs and causing swelling in the back of her head.
“(This happened after) the victim, who was driving a Perodua Axia, was unable to avoid the suspect’s wife, 34, and 7-year-old daughter, who suddenly crossed the road at about 10.15pm,” he was quoted as saying.
Hatta said the suspect’s wife and daughter suffered minor injuries and were taken to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital for further treatment following the accident last night.
He reminded the public not to speculate on the incident and advised all pedestrians to be careful when crossing roads.
It was reported earlier today that a man punched and kicked a woman driver after her car allegedly collided with his child while they were crossing the road at the Hari Raya Aidilfitri bazaar at Dataran Senawang, Seremban.
A video of the incident, showing the man confronting the woman in her car and punching her twice, was shared on TikTok. - FMT
