PUTRAJAYA: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has arrived at the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here to have his statement recorded.
He arrived at about 9.45am in a black car, and waved to waiting media on his way in.
This comes after MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said on Tuesday (March 11) that Ismail Sabri is scheduled to record his statement at the MACC headquarters on Thursday (March 13).
Azam also said they would also record statements from 23 new witnesses in the ongoing investigation into corruption and money laundering linked to the former prime minister.
He also confirmed that Ismail Sabri's medical leave certificate (MC) expires on Wednesday (March 12).
"He (Ismail) will arrive at our office at 10am on Thursday. As for the additional 23 witnesses, they will be called in gradually over the coming days to assist in the investigation," he said. - Star
