Tabung Haji declares 3.25pct profit distribution, highest since 2017

KUALA LUMPUR: Lembaga Tabung Haji has declared a higher profit distribution of 3.25 per cent after zakat for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2024 (FY24), marking the highest payout in seven years.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Mohd Na'im Mokhtar said the distribution of profits involved a sum of RM 2.92 billion and would benefit more than 9.54  million TH depositors.

"This is higher compared to the distribution of RM2.72 billion to 9.15 million depositors in 2023," he said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Tabung Haji also declared zakat of 2.58  per cent for FY24, bringing total zakat payment to all state Islamic religious councils on behalf of depositors to RM99.35 million. - NST
