Landslide closes Rawang-Kuala Selangor road

KUALA LUMPUR:

A landslide following heavy rain in Gombak yesterday has resulted in the full closure of a section of the Rawang-Kuala Selangor road (B27). The landslide caused part of the road structure to collapse, the public works department said.

The landslide also brought down trees, blocking all traffic. A diversion route restricted to light vehicles has been provided, the statement read.

Detailed investigations were under way to determine the cause of the landslide.
