An actor who was recently awarded a datukship was arrested this afternoon after he allegedly slapped a policeman while lodging a police report regarding a road accident.
The 36-year-old also allegedly kicked a civilian during the 1.20pm incident at the traffic counter of the Kota Damansara police station.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din confirmed the arrest.
It is learned that the suspect also tested positive for ganja and will be remanded tomorrow.
Mohd Zani said the actor will be investigated under Section 90 of the Police Act for behaving indecently at a police station.
The suspect is said to have suddenly lost his cool while lodging a report at the station and allegedly slapped a policeman who was on duty.
He also purportedly kicked a civilian who was also at the station.
The actor had received his datukship from Pahang last month.- Mkini
