BIGGEST JOKE FROM NAJIB’S SON: IF YOU CANNOT TELL YOUR OWN DAD – THE WORLD’S WORST KLEPTOCRAT – TO REPENT, WHO ARE YOU TO TELL DR M TO ‘RETURN TO THE RIGHT PATH’

PRIME Minister Najib Razak’s son, Nazifuddin Najib, tonight appealed to his father’s nemesis, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, to remember second prime minister Abdul Razak Hussein’s legacy and return to Umno.
Nazifuddin, who is Razak’s grandson, said if Dr Mahathir appreciated Razak’s legacy, he would protect Najib just as Najib had defended Dr Mahathir during Umno’s crisis in 1987, which led to the party being declared illegal.
“Strengthen Najib as how he stood by Dr Mahathir in the political crisis of 1998, when ‘reformasi’ began  ,” Nazifuddin said on his social media accounts.
His father was once Dr Mahathir’s protege, but has now become the target of the former prime minister and the opposition coalition he leads, Pakatan Harapan, in the 14th general election, which must be held by August.
“If Dr Mahathir really loves Razak, he should be like Razak: stay with Umno until his dying breath.
“It was Razak who helped Dr Mahathir return to Umno to strengthen and defend the party, to lead Malaysia in the world. Not to destroy Umno.
“Dr Mahathir, return to the right path, the path that Razak charted for you to become the fourth prime minister of Malaysia.”
Razak, who was prime minister from 1970 to 1976, had readmitted Dr Mahathir into Umno in 1972 after the latter was expelled in 1969.
At the time, he had been critical of the first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.
Nazifuddin said he had read comments by Dr Mahathir’s wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, in which she spoke fondly of Razak and owed to the late leader her husband’s rise to become prime minister.
“Yes, it is true that Razak was responsible for bringing Dr Mahathir back to Umno.
“But, his (Dr Mahathir’s) behaviour, actions and words of late against Najib are deeply disappointing and overboard, and they are not in line with the ethics and principles that a former prime minister should have.
Dr Mahathir, who was prime minister from 1981 to 2003, quit Umno in 2016 over corruption allegations against Najib, which the current prime minister has denied.
The 93-year-old formed opposition party Bersatu the same year, and was recently named PH’s prime minister candidate if the opposition pact wins GE14.
