‘CHRISTIANS’ OR ‘THIEVES’ – WHO WILL THE MALAYS AT SUNGAI KANDIS VOTE FOR? SAD ACID TEST FOR THE MAJORITY RACE AS UMNO & PAS PUMP UP RACIAL & RELIGIOUS HATRED

Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Rahman has urged voters to not support a “Christian-led” Pakatan Harapan government on the eve of the Sungai Kandis by-election.
Speaking to an all-Malay crowd of about 100 people in Kampung Jawa tonight, he referred to an apparent viral video featuring Christian pastors celebrating Harapan’s victory during the May 9 general election.
“(In the video) they said Christians have taken over Putrajaya and other states. Memang betul! (This is true).
“Look at our ministers now – Lim Guan Eng is Christian, Anthony Loke is Christian, Tony Pua is Christian, Hannah Yeoh is Christian.
“Teresa Kok (is also Christian). (Federal Territories minister) Khalid Samad gets angry when I say her name, she is the only woman who has a ‘kok’,” he said to chuckles in the audience.
Tajuddin further alleged these DAP politicians were using their positions in government to evangelise.
“These names which I have mentioned are people spreading Christianity.
“We need to be wary, they will use their politics as a platform to spread Christianity,” he said.
Lim is finance minister while Loke is transport minister. Pua is a special officer in the Finance Ministry while Yeoh is deputy women and family development minister. Kok is the primary industries minister.
Apart from Yeoh and Kok, there is little evidence to suggest that the three male DAP leaders mentioned by Tajuddin are Christian.
‘DAP wants a republic’
Meanwhile, Tajuddin also alleged that DAP was the driving force in Harapan and was behind Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s decisions.
He predicted that DAP would one day seek to abolish the monarchy and make Malaysia a republic.
“In the long term, ladies and gentlemen, if they can they will abolish the monarchy system.
“They want to establish a system of government like Singapore where there is no king, no sultan and no Agong.
“A republic (is what they want), where the head of the country can be anyone – Malay, Chinese or Indian,” he said. – MKINI
Lokman the ‘anak jantan‘ candidate
Thus, Tajuddin urged voters to choose BN’s Lokman Noor Adam to ensure Islam and Malay rights would be upheld.
“To me, he (Lokman) is a tokoh muda anak jantan (a young and bold leader) who dares to speak up. We need someone brave.
“[…] People like Lokman must rise because the Malays have been belittled and Islam has been made fun of (under the Harapan government),” he said.
Aside from Tajuddin, Umno Wanita chief Noraini Ahmad had also made an appearance at the event but did not speak.
The Sungai Kandis by-election is being held following the death of its incumbent, Shuhaimi Shafiei due to cancer on July 2.
Lokman is up against PKR’s Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni and independent candidate K Murthy.
Polling day is tomorrow.

Azmin urges voters to not give ‘party of thieves’ even one seat

On the eve of the Sungai Kandis by-election, former Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali has told people not to give even one state seat to a “party of thieves”.
“Even though Umno is saying just give them one (seat) but we cannot give even one seat to a party of thieves and crooks in Malaysia.
“We give our votes to (Pakatan Harapan candidate) Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni. I am confident that he will not betray us,” said Azmin, who is now the Economic Affairs Minister, at the grand finale at Taman Seri Andalas in Klang tonight.
Azmin refused to even mention the name of Zawawi’s opponent from BN, Lokman Noor Adam, during his speech.
“To compare Zawawi and that person, who is that?” he asked.
When someone in the crowd helpfully provided Lokman’s name, Azmin quipped, “Don’t say his name”.
Lokman was formerly PKR Youth secretary before he was sacked from the party in 2004. He joined Umno after that.
The grand finale, which saw a mixed crowd of about 1,000 people in attendance, also featured speakers such as current Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari, Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun, PKR vice-president Xavier Jayakumar and PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
Wan Azizah spoke in a conversational tone during her speech, joking and interacting with the crowd throughout.
She advised the crowd to go home and rest properly so they can rise early to vote for Zawawi tomorrow.
“Candidate 1, no, candidate 2, no, candidate 3, yes,” she said, mimicking the gesture of marking an ‘X’ on a ballot paper.
Zawawi will be the third candidate on the ballot paper during the polls tomorrow.
The Sungai Kandis state seat fell vacant following the death of former PKR incumbent Mat Shuhaimi Shafiei on July 2 due to lymphoma.
In the May 9 general election, Suhaimi won the seat with a 12,480-vote majority.
Selangor is slated to witness another two by-elections – the Balakong state seat on Sept 8 and the Seri Setia state seat.
The Balakong seat’s incumbent Eddie Ng was killed in an accident on July 20 while Seri Setia’s assemblyperson Shaharuddin Badaruddin died yesterday after a protracted battle with colon cancer. – – M’kini
