KUALA LUMPUR: The police will hand over the investigation papers on former Sabah chief minister Musa Aman’s alleged criminal intimidation against the state governor to the deputy public prosecutor’s office on Monday.
Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said the investigation was being carried out in full transparency and according to the law.
In a statement, he said Musa was arrested yesterday and released on police bail after the police failed to secure a remand order from a magistrate in Petaling Jaya near here.
Musa was arrested at a hospital in the Klang Valley where he was undergoing treatment.
Musa, who has yet to be sworn in as the assemblyman for Sungai Sibuga, reportedly left for London for medical treatment on May 16.
He returned to Malaysia via Singapore on Tuesday, landing at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang at 6.45pm.
Besides the case of alleged criminal intimidation against Sabah governor Juhar Mahiruddin, Musa is also being investigated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission over allegations of buying over assemblymen. -FMT
