Bukit Damansara mosque issues Covid-19 screening notice after 5 new cases

Malaysiakini

CORONAVIRUS | A mosque in Bukit Damansara has advised its congregation to undergo health screenings if they had come in contact with five individuals in their neighbourhood who tested positive for Covid-19.
Saidina Umar Al-Khattab mosque committee chief in a letter to the congregation said the five individuals - two married couples and another man - had returned from abroad on March 11.
"Therefore, to prevent an outbreak of the virus among us, we urge for all mosque committee members and members of the congregation who had contact with those named above to urgently undergo health screenings and determine their individual health status," said the mosque's committee chief.
The letter sighted by Malaysiakini also listed their three home addresses - along two streets in Bukit Damansara - just a few streets away from Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's house.
Under the movement control order, all mosques are closed for daily activities and weekly Friday prayers.
The MOC was first announced to be enforced from March 18 to March 31, but has since been extended until April 14. - Mkini
