No wonder God got fed up and decided to reformat the system and reboot the world. It was an incident waiting to happen. And it would have happened anyway. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic just made what is supposed to happen next year or in ten years’ time happen today. That is all.
NO HOLDS BARRED

I really do not know whether the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is God’s masterplan to reboot the world or to reformat the system the world is operating in, because for sure I am not privy to God’s plans. But even if you do not believe in God, you must surely admit that some divine intervention or karma is at play here.
I do not see the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic as a health crisis as much as it is an economic crisis (although if we do not lockdown it can become a serious health problem). The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that an average of up to 500,000 people die annually across the globe due to the “normal” flu (whatever “normal” means here).
How the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic compares to “normal” flu
The University of Oxford states that, in 2008-2009, there were 13,000 deaths in the UK alone related to the flu. Since October last year, 20,000 people died from flu complications in the US, which has led to one expert describing the coronavirus as a “blip” (blip: an unexpected, minor, and typically temporary deviation from a general trend).
In Malaysia, less than 20 people have died thus far from the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Will it touch 500 or 1,000 deaths before the virus burns itself out? If we are careless and stubborn, maybe so. But how bad can 500 or 1,000 deaths be when roughly 7,000 Malaysians die every year due to traffic accidents — and over the last ten years alone about 80,000 people have died on Malaysian roads.
An estimated 80,000 people died on Malaysian roads over the last ten years
Maybe we should impose a car/motorcycle “lockdown” and ban traffic on Malaysian roads and highways. Then 7,000 less Malaysians will need to go to their graves in 2020. Also, ban smoking and drinking (meaning beer and liquor), which take more lives than the COVID-19 coronavirus. In the UK, more people die from smoking and drinking than Malaysians who die from traffic accidents. Yet no one cares about that as much as they worry about the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
No, I am not belittling or playing down the dangers of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is indeed a threat to humanity. What I am saying is the bigger threat to humanity is the economic crisis that is going to be triggered by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Long after the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is no longer a threat (and the vaccine to fight it has been discovered), the world is going to continue to suffer the economic effects of this crisis.
Tens of trillions are spent on arms and wars, which are bankrupting the world and do not benefit humankind one bit
The bottom-line is, for more than 150 years since the late-1800s the world has seen a war between socialism and capitalism (or the proletariat and the bourgeoisie). That ideological war resulted in two world wars that saw more than 125 million people lose their lives. Then we had the revolutions and regional wars in between that took another 50 million lives.
Finally, capitalism won and the last bastion of communism, China, turned capitalist and is now more or less the largest capitalist nation in the world.
But what was the world built upon over those 150 years? Nothing! It is merely a house of cards with no foundation whatsoever. The entire system is a mirage, a game of perception. And all it needed was something like the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic to reveal how false the entire system is.
The American system is a house of cards built on perception and backed by the worthless paper money that is being printed non-stop
The money you have in your pocket is not worth the paper it is printed on. In fact, today, there is no longer even any paper. It is all digital. And the paper money you hold so dearly is merely a promissory note. It is a promise that the bank would honour it if you walk into the bank to cash it in.
But honour it in what way? Can you tell the bank you wish to exchange your promissory note for something tangible, such as gold? No, the bank does not have an ounce of gold to exchange for that bag full or paper money you give them. All they can do is make a digital entry in your bank account. And that digital entry is only worth something as long as that bank is still in business, or that government is still around. If not, your money will be just like the Malayan “banana money” in August 1945 when Japan surrendered to the “Allies”.
When Japan lost the war, the Malayan ‘banana money’ became worthless overnight
Yes, the entire monetary and economic system is fake. It is mere perception. It can keep going as long as you do not disrupt it. But the instant you disrupt it, like in this COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, it will come crashing down because there is no foundation to prop it up.
The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has revealed how weak and false the world’s financial and economic system is. The entire system needs to be reformatted and the world rebooted. It is like a merry-go-round. It is okay as long as it keeps going and you stay put on it. But the minute you try to get off, it will hit you on the head and kill you.
When governments need money all they need to do is print them and pretend that they are worth something
We pay the cost of running the country and for development based on expected future earnings. We finance arms purchases and wars all over the world in the tens of trillions the same way. More than half of what we pay for does not benefit humankind one bit but we spend that money anyway. We are spending today, mostly on what we do not need, with money we have not earned yet but hope to earn long after we are dead and our children and grandchildren are in charge.
No wonder God got fed up and decided to reformat the system and reboot the world. It was an incident waiting to happen. And it would have happened anyway. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic just made what is supposed to happen next year or in ten years’ time happen today. That is all.
