Woman flees from hospital isolation room

CORONAVIRUS | The police are on the hunt for a woman who fled from the Parit Buntar hospital yesterday.

The woman was believed to had fled after being placed in isolation for observation.

According to Kerian district police chief Omar Bakhtiar Yaacob, the person was not Covid-19 positive but exhibiting related symptoms.

"We received a report from the hospital. We are handling the matter.

"They are on the way to the hospital (again). That is the last bit of information (I received) that I can share at this point," said Omar Bakhtiar according to mStar.

Details of the woman who fled the hospital were making rounds on social media and message groups this morning.

Hospitals routinely place those exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms in isolation while tests are being conducted.
