Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin has donated a new motorcycle to a female food delivery rider whose motorbike was stolen at Batu Caves recently.
The Selangor palace, in a post on Facebook today, stated that Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin’s police escort Inspector Noor Hidayu Aziz presented the gift to Nur Athirah Latiff.
On the post, which was accompanied by a photograph of Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, she said she felt sorry and was moved after learning how Nur Athirah had been hampered by ill luck.
She hoped that with the new motorcycle, Nur Athirah would be able to get back to work and help her family.
Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin said that amid the current situation when people are under great stress, the community should be more humane and considerate adding that she would pray to seek Allah’s blessings and protection for all.
Nur Athirah’s misfortune had attracted the attention of netizens after the news made its round on social media since last Wednesday.
Many expressed their sympathies to the Batu Caves lass, who had been working as a full-time food delivery rider to support her mother and two siblings.
