The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry will station counsellors at Medan 88, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi which is under the enhanced movement control order (MCO).
Its minister Rina Harun said the move was to give room and opportunity to residents experiencing emotional stress to be guided by experienced counsellors.
‘’We will provide counsellors from the Social Welfare Department who will be stationed here,’’ she told a media conference at the disaster operations room at the Medan 88 today.
Rina hoped the ministry realised that the implementation of the enhanced MCO, MCO and conditional MCO during a long period of time would not only impact on the finances of the people but also their emotions.
Earlier, Rina was present in Medan 88 to hand over 200 food packs to the frontliners on duty there.
