Health DG: 1,041 new Covid-19 cases today

 

There are 1,041 new Covid-19 cases in the country as of this afternoon.

Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced the figure during a special briefing on the country's efforts to tackle Covid-19 in Putrajaya today.

However, further information will only be available in his statement later this evening.

Noor Hisham, in his briefing, said today's infectivity rate, also known as the R0 (pronounced R-nought) value is around 0.49 and 1.1.

He said more efforts are needed to lower the infectivity rate.
