The King's health is generally good and he is scheduled to be discharged from the National Heart Institute (IJN) in the near future, said the Istana Negara in a statement today.
Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah (above) is undergoing a health check-up and follow-up treatment related to intervention treatment on the knee and ankle joints which the King underwent at IJN on Sept 24, said the Comptroller of the Royal Household for Istana Negara Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin.
He said the intervention was made after a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan showed injuries to Sultan Abdullah's knee and ankle joints while playing sports.
"This follow-up treatment has been delayed from that date due to the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Covid-19 in public hospitals, including IJN.
"At the same time, His Majesty also agreed to undergo a respiratory examination at IJN," said Ahmad Fadil.
Ahmad Fadil said His Majesty's health was generally in good condition and not worrying, and he was scheduled to return to the Istana Negara in the near future after undergoing the follow-up treatment. - Mkini
