COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 1,924 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,830,214.
Active cases stood at 25,278, down 4 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Malacca (87)
Negeri Sembilan (80)
Sarawak (76)
Kedah (62)
Pahang (49)
Johor (46)
Kelantan (35)

Another three deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as “brought in dead”.
The deaths were in Selangor (2) and Kedah (1).
Over the past week, an average of 5.7 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 5.4, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on an uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,348 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There are 1,089 Covid-19 patients hospitalised of which 51 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (86), followed by Sabah (61), and Sarawak (36). - Mkini
