COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,486 new Covid-19 cases yesterday - the lowest since June 2.
Active infections stood at 27,546, down 22.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another four deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".
These deaths were reported in Johor (1), Negeri Sembilan (1), Perak (1) and Selangor (1).
Over the past week, an average of 6.1 people were reported to have died of the disease, while the average for the past 30 days was 7.6, indicating that such deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,249 deaths have been attributed to the coronavirus.
There are 1,297 Covid-19 patients hospitalised of which 79 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (73) followed by Sabah (70) and Johor (48). - Mkini
