The Kota Bharu Municipal Council-Islamic City in Kelantan has confirmed receiving a request for “help” from Bachok MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz.
According to council president Rosnazli Amin, the request was received in the form of a letter.
“Yes, my office received the letter,” he told Malaysiakini briefly when contacted.
The letter to the local council, dated Sept 20 from former PAS Youth chief Nik Abduh, went viral on social media earlier.
Among others, Nik Abduh asked for the council’s help to provide waste management services, tables, chairs, and flower decorations for his daughter’s wedding today.
The event was to have commenced in the car park of Masjid Tok Guru and Sekolah Menengah Agama (Arab) Darul Anuar.
Rosnazli played coy when asked if the council greenlit the request.
“I did not even stamp my approval (on the letter),” he said when pressed on whether he approved the application. - Mkini
