Today Italy has a new Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni 45 years old. She is a right wing politician and is a member of the Italian Social Movement (pro Mussolini) and something called the Brothers of Italy. The Italian Sosial Movement (MSI) uses the old 'god, family, fatherland' (dio patria famiglia) motto of Benito Mussolini.
"A right-wing populist and Italian nationalist, her political positions have been described as far right. She is opposed to abortion, euthanasia, and to partnerships, marriages, and parenting by same-sex couples, instead asserting that nuclear families are exclusively headed by male–female pairs. Opposed to the reception of non-European migrants and multiculturalism, she has been accused of xenophobia and Islamophobia"
Throughout Europe (in Italy, France, Germany, all of eastern Europe) right wing nationalism and patriotism (all being code words for preserving racial identity) are on the rise.
This is what will happen when they let in shiploads of refugees from the Third World. There is bound to be some pushback. This is what has happened in Italy now.
The European people are getting fed up. Giorgia Meloni is the first ultra right winger to win power. Marine Le Pen of France needs to get advice from Giorgia Meloni.
