PSM to contest in Selangor

 

In GE14, the socialist party contested in four state seats in Selangor — Kota Damansara, Semenyih, Port Klang and Kota Kemuning.

PETALING JAYA: Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) will contest in the coming Selangor election, the party’s youth chief Arveent Kathirtchelvan said.

He said PSM would make an announcement soon on the state seats they were eyeing.

“Yes, PSM is contesting in Selangor,” he tweeted.

He called on supporters to help the party during the campaigning period.

“We need a lot of manpower for our campaigning, so please join us! Let’s make real changes to the politics of Malaysia.”

In the 14th general election, the socialist party contested in four state seats in Selangor — Kota Damansara, Semenyih, Port Klang and Kota Kemuning – but did not win any. Its candidates also lost their deposits.

Last year, PSM called off its electoral pact with Pakatan Harapan after accusing the coalition of refusing to allocate even a single seat to it in the 15th general election. - FMT
