State Amanah leaders appointed to head Kada, Mada

Kelantan Amanah chairperson Mohammad Husain was appointed as the chairperson of the Kemubu Agricultural Development Board (Kada) effective May 15.

He will be filling the vacancy left by Bersatu Kelantan chairperson Kamaruddin Md Noor.

Meanwhile, Kedah Amanah chairperson Dr Ismail Salleh was appointed as chairperson of the Muda Agricultural Development Board (Mada).

Mohammad Husain said he received the appointment letter from Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu at Wisma Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladahan, Kuala Lumpur.

Mohamad Sabu, who is also Amanah president, said in a brief statement that their appointments were based on their extensive experience in the fields of administration, policy and community development.

"I am confident in their knowledge and credibility in carrying out the trust of leading the federal statutory bodies under the ministry.

"I hope that the responsibilities will be carried out with integrity and good governance in line with the aspirations of Malaysia Madani. Congratulations!" said Mohamad Sabu.

Mohammad Husain said the new duties were a challenge that he takes on wholeheartedly.

"May God give strength for this great challenge. I will give my full commitment to helping realise the wishes of the Madani government today, especially the main mission, which is food security.

"Thank you to the minister of agriculture and food security for trusting me to lead Kada this time," he said in a post on Facebook. - Mkini
