PETALING JAYA: The date involving the dissolution of the state assembly has yet to be proposed to the Selangor Sultan, says Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari (pic).
The Mentri Besar said such matters were between him and the Selangor Ruler.
This was in response to Perikatan Nasional information chief Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali declaring that the state would dissolve its legislative assembly on June 19.
“As Selangor’s former mentri besar, he should understand the process, the announcement of the dissolution is between the Mentri Besar and the Sultan.
“It should be proposed by the Mentri Besar and accepted by the Sultan. So, both sides have to reach a mutual agreement for the best period of time to announce the dissolution.
“So far, I have not proposed it to the Sultan, and no decision has been made by the Sultan regarding this matter,” he said during the Selangor Investors Appreciation Award at Sunway Resort Hotel in Subang Jaya. - Star
