MERSING: The Sultan of Johor's foray into the kitchen showcased his culinary skills and his appreciation for food and cooking.

Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar displayed his culinary skills by preparing two dishes: The Japanese Curry and Beriyani Lobster.

A two-minute-eight-second footage of him cooking the creative combination was uploaded on his official Facebook page has recorded more than 5,600 views within an hour after it was posted.

The ruler was at the Istana Mersing, better known as Istana Flintstones.

Sultan Ibrahim is a huge fan of the popular Hanna-Barbera cartoon -The Flintstones.

The legacy of the Flintstones is kept alive through the palace via its colourful façade and unique shape.
