PETALING JAYA:
The 15-year-old student who allegedly stabbed a schoolmate at a secondary school in Banting yesterday has been remanded for four days until Friday.

Magistrate Maslinda Selamat issued the remand order at the Telok Datuk magistrates’ court to facilitate the police investigation under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.

National Legal Aid Foundation lawyer S Vijeswari Devi, when met outside the court, said her client is autistic.

The Form Three student injured in yesterday’s stabbing reportedly sustained at least 14 stab wounds, one of which pierced her lung.

The victim, the second of three siblings, was stabbed in the back and face. The suspect was detained after the stabbing.
