BN distributing electoral campaign comic books to schools

The BN federal government is going all out to undermine the credibility of the opposition Pakatan Rakyat with its aggressive elections campaign nationwide.

The people's support for Pakatan Rakyat is increasing almost daily. BN is now desperate and wanted to ensure that the ruling coalition stays in power for as long as it can. But the general election must be held within every five years which the BN cannot avoid as by doing so would mean going against the provisions of the Federal Constitution.

Therefore, in ensuring BN's survival, it has resorted to many tactics, including of those against the law to smear the reputation of the opposition leaders and their parties namely PKR, DAP and PAS. This time the ministry of education is taking up the task by getting into producing electoral campaign comic books to be distributed to all schools.

Currently these political-motivated comic books has been delivered to all state education departments nationwide and these comic books are expected to be released to all schools by early of next month. The comic book consist of 50 pages which depicts Umno president and BN chairman Najib Razak as a superhero trying to save the nation from the threat of the "evil" and "homosexual" opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim. The comic also sang praises for the BN and its leaders, as well as condemning opposition leaders as traitors of the nation who aimed to destroy this country for their benefit.

According to a source from the state education department, headmasters and teachers are expected to be briefed on the distribution of these BN electoral campaign comic books and on how to campaign for the BN in schools, sending the BN messages to the students and their parents.

It shows that these BN leaders has no other choice but to resort to such move in order to ensure their message get across to the people nationwide via school teachers and children.

Currently, the teachers via the National Union of Teaching Profession (NUTP) made up the largest group in the country's civil service and BN is now relying on their support to get their electoral campaign across to the people even to the extend if they have to use children to do so.

Just look at the desperate kind of behaviour that the BN had demonstrated. They are going to the extend of disregarding the law and the professionalism of the civil service. Even the Elections Commission (EC) would not dare to act against the BN leaders for their pre-general elections campaign by using government agencies as their campaigning machinery.

Such blatant power abuse and mismanagement of public funds must be stopped as soon as possible before our nation bleeds to her death.
