KUALA LUMPUR, 3 April, 2012: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale occurred in Indonesia's Banda Sea at 7.27pm today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement here today said the earthquake occurred 388km northeast of Kupang, Indonesia and 1,500km southeast of Semporna, Sabah.
