LUYANG housing areas are facing improper maintenance of the main drains. Complainants from Lorong Palas, Luyang is very unhappy about the situation here. The resident had made numerous complaints regarding the matter to DBKK complaints extension.
Unfortunately, there was no reply. It has been three years now since the drain slap gave way. No one had attended to it since then. Besides that, the unwanted wild plants all over the drains and that will clog the drains even further.
Sabah DAP Kepayan Barat Complaints Bureau Andrew Lee urged the relevant department to take action instantly. He suggests that the enforcement should carry out inspections around all housing developments twice a month in order to rectify defects and problems around this area. So that in order to be able to solve the problem immediately.
Andrew pointed out that in Kota Kinabalu City, there are many drain were broken or cloged by garbage. DBKK should send their people to inspect and rectify the problem. Especially before the rainy season come, they must maintenance or repair all the drain in order to avoid rainwater being blocked and cause serious flooding.
