The Deepak delusion — Pete Abraham

Deepak Jaikishan has become a story himself. His revelations of land deals, jewels and false statutory declarations by the elites has been a Christmas feast for us Malaysians.
Like others who made it good thanks to cables and connections and later fell out of favour, this carpet dealer is now trading in the ultimate commodity — salacious stories and exposes.
Thanks to him, I am reading the news portals again and watching out for his stories that used to only come from Raja Petra Kamarudin.
Deepak should be happy that there are people like me, who cheer him on and wish for more disclosures and explosive revelations in the days to come.
The kind of stories that won’t appear in the national newspapers.
But not many will hang the title of crusader of truth on him, despite him lamenting the lack of support from Pakatan Rakyat (PR) politicians.
He made money and kept quiet when riding with the hounds but now that he is cast with the hares, he can’t expect pity or help from us.
He is now the sad clown who makes us happy with his tearful tales. And he is doing a good job as long as he entertains and regales us with tales of excess and greed.
One only hopes he has more stories to tell and open our eyes to what people like him do for those who have power. He is a pawn who only talks after being thrown away.
So let’s recognise him for his dutch courage after falling down. Take heed of his stories and do the right thing.
But don’t pity this delusional Deepak. He is no hero, just a zero who was willing to be used but refuses to stop being used.
