Zahid apology a 'malicious hoax' says Rafizi

PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli has denied Facebook postings of his apology to Defence Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi saying they are false postings that did not originate from him.

“I strongly deny any statement of apology. I am firm in my stand that the issue will be heard out in court, and I will not budge and will continue to question the abuse of the army veteran’s funds (LTAT),” said Rafizi in a statement this evening.

NONEAccording to him, the fake apology had surfaced on his Facebookaccounts this evening around 7pm and were promptly repeated on pro-Umno blogs.
Rafizi claimed that his Facebook had been hacked, and has since rectified the settings on his account.

“That statement is false and malicious, and was planned by pro-Umno blogs with the aim of defaming me and confusing the people.

“When they cannot face up to exposes that are embarrassing to their leaders, their websites such as theirs unethically use tricks to hack account linked to Pakatan Rakyat…” he said.

Rafizi said this was the second time in two days that one of their accounts had been hacked, since PKR deputy president Azmin Ali’s Facebook was hacked.

NONEHe noted how new portal Malaysiakini is also constantly hacked each time there is an important national political development that embarrasses the ruling coalition.

On Friday Zahid filed a lawsuit against Rafizi claiming the latter’s article on thescandal over a Bukit Raja land deal involving carpet businessman Deepak Jaikishan, Selangor Umno Wanita chief Raja Ropiaah Raja Abdullah and LTAT funds, was defamatory.

Rafizi said he was unfazed with the cyberattack and said he intends to answer Zahid’s charges on the stand.

“The issue of the abuse and misappropriation of LTAT funds and the welfare of the military personnel that has been ignored, cannot be erased simply with such malicious tricks and cyber hoaxes,” he said.
