Election guessing game continues

The rumour mill is on full tilt and Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has everyone guessing as to when parliament will be dissolved.
PUTRAJAYA: Another rumour that Parliament would dissolve today was again put to rest with no announcement by Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak.
Reporters from various media organisations who had waited outside the Prime Minister’s Department here since this morning were again left disappointed with no announcement from the prime minister’s office.
Amid a flurry of activities here, Najib continues to show no indication when Parliament would be dissolved to pave way for the country’s 13th general election.
FMT understands that Najib was in talks with key BN leaders today to discuss setting the election date and fine tune their lists of candidates.
The meetings started at 8 am and among those who were seen entering the PM’s office this morning were Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud, Perlis Menteri Besar Md Isa Sabu, Penang Umno Liaison Committee chairman Zainal Abidin Osman and Perlis Umno Liaison Committee deputy chairman Shahidan Kassim.
The meetings were also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
In the afternoon, those seen going for the meetings were Kedah Umno Liaison Committee chairman Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah and deputy chairman Mukhriz Mahathir, as well as Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan.
Negeri Sembilan became the first state in the country to reach an automatic dissolution yesterday.
Parliament will automatically dissolve on April 29 and elections must be held 60 days from then.
In total, some 13 million registered voters are eligible to cast their ballots in this election.
