KOTA KINABALU : In response to news report carried by local newspapers today on my meeting with a Sulu sultan, yes there was a meeting between me and a sultan of Sulu, but not the sultan that was leading a group to invade Sabah.
They came to Kota Kinabalu sometimes in the middle of last year and met me here inviting me to a coronation of a certain Sultan Sulu in the southern Philippines. Of course i received them and had a positive engagement with them.
I thanked them for the invitation, unfortunately i could not make it to the sultan's coronation in the Philippines.
