GEORGE TOWN - Tolls for the North-South Expressway and the first Penang Bridge will be abolished if Pakatan Rakyat (PR) manages to wrest Putrajaya in the coming general elections.
Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said this was part of the opposition pact's plan all this while.
He said the plan was to abolish tolls of concessionaires which have already recouped their construction costs and turned a profit.
"I want to be able to drive from Bukit Kayu Hitam (Perlis) to Johor for free in my lifetime," Lim quipped during a press conference after launching the Penang World Music Festiival today.
