Cops closing in on shooters, says Sanjeevan's dad
Police are closing in on the culprit behind MyWatch chairperson R Sri Sanjeevan's attempted assassination, said his father P Ramakrishnan.
Both Ramakrishnan and MyWatch advisor S Gobikrishnan met with police criminal investigation department director Hadi Ho Abdullah and several other senior police officers at Bukit Aman today.
Ramakrishnan said during the one-hour meeting, he was told there had been new developments in the case and the police believe it would lead to the culprit's arrest.
"I have full confidence in the police. I know they will get him," he told Malaysiakini.
However, he said Hadi had declined to reveal the nature of the new developments, saying that the time was not yet right.
Sanjeevan was shot in a drive-by shooting by two motorcyclists in Jempol on July 27.
Injured in his lungs and liver, the anti-crime activist is now recuperating in the Serdang Hospital.
