Spy above MCA leader’s home, he lodges report

Datuk Dr We Ka Siong (pic) claims there are parties who are spying on him after the discovery of a remote controlled helicopter on the balcony of his home last week.
He said the device, called a hexacopter, is similar to the type used by The United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to track terrorist movements.
He told reporters this at a press conference after making a police report on the discovery this morning.
Wee said the hexacopter was found on the balcony off his house on August 8.
"Based on research on the internet, I found that it is called a hexacopter and the camera on it is worth RM1,309 or US$399 each. It is commonly used by the CIA to track the movements of terrorists," Wee said.
The hexacopter had secretly videographed Wee's and his neighbour's home in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
Wee said that after watching the video footage from the camera with his neighbours last night, he found that two men controlled the hexacopter with a remote from an open-door basketball court.
However, the hexacopter had hit a lightning rod on one of the houses and fell on the rooftop before being discovered three days later.
"Am I a terrorist? Why must I be subjected to all this? Please be fair to me," Wee who is widely touted to contest the MCA deputy president's post in the coming party election said.
He said there were five recordings in the camera with one clearly showing the faces of the two suspects.
Wee said that one of the two involved is believed to be from China as he was heard conversing with a heavy Chinese accent in the video.
He believes that it is related to the looming MCA party election.
Wee said these people could be trying to invade his privacy or this may even be for criminal purposes, as there are rumours on the internet that his house is worth RM6million.
He said he bought the house for RM1.8 million and had taken a RM1.4million loan to purchase the property.
“I was a consultant for 17 years, my wife is a partner in a legal firm. Why can’t we purchase a house in Kuala Lumpur. If the property appreciates, it is not our fault,” he said of the property bought four years ago.
Wee challenged his critics to proof that he bought the property for RM6million.
