KAJANG: Prison Department director-general Datuk Zulkifli Omar confirmed that ex-police commando Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri who was this morning acquitted from the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder charge, was released from the Kajang Prison here at 12pm today.
Azilah, 34, had been transported back to the prison for documentation procedures, accompanied by one of his lawyers and his uncle after the Court of Appeal's verdict.
"After the documentation process was completed and his belongings were returned at about 11.45am, he left the prison complex," Zulkifli said.
