Prime Minister and wife spend an hour and take time for photographs with couple.
PUTRAJAYA: The Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor attended the wedding of the daughter of Ahmad Maslan, deputy international trade minister, at his residence in Precint 10 today.
Najib and Rosman, who arrived at 10.55am, spent about an hour at the wedding and also took time for a photography session with the bride and bridegroom, Nurul Izzatul Shahirah Ahmad, 22, and Ahmad Haqimi Iskandar Ariffin Iskandar, 22, and their families.
The marriage was solemnised by Ahmad himself before Putra Mosque chief imam, Abdul Manaf Mat.
The couple are scheduled to leave for Australia on Feb 15 to further their studies at Curtin University.
Among the guests at the wedding were minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Abdul Wahid Omar and wife, Kay Roserina Mohd Kassim, and Norazlina Awang Had, wife of Abdul Rahman Dahlan, minister of urban affairs.
A total of 300 guests attended the ceremony and the “bersanding” ceremony will be held on Tuesday.
