Is Salleh telling us to dismiss everything he says?

YOURSAY | ‘It’s easy to differentiate between truths, half-truths, innuendos and lies.’
Quigonbond: Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak, there are no innuendos.
Intelligent Malaysians are entitled to draw their own conclusions when they compare Malaysia's snail's pace in dealing with graft with advanced nations, and the subsequent resignations following such scandals.
They are also entitled to draw their conclusion of how - in order to survive politically - power has been abused, while religious and racial intolerance have been allowed to run amok.
It's about moral values and moral standards. Right now, Umno's is about trading zero to negative.
Malaysia does not aspire to have absolute freedom of expression - no country would (as he would like us to believe). But there is such a thing called “defamation suits”.
If PM Najib Abdul Razak is clean, he should just sue the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) wherever they are domiciled, irrespective if he will get his damages.
Anonymous_1375151044: Salleh, the first thing is for your boss to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Did he or didn't he? That is the question.
Next, sue those who are spreading lies. Then we can leave it to the courts and the court of public opinion to decide.
Right now, it's your boss' words against ours. The sad part is your boss doesn't even look or sound convincing so far; neither are you and the other lackeys who continue to live in denial.
The emperor is not wearing any clothes, sir.
CQ Muar: Dear Salleh,
i) Truth is opposed to lies.
ii) Innuendoes are to avoid getting straight to the point by twisting and meandering, like your boss has been doing.
iii) Lies are opposed to the truth, which your boss is surely guilty of.
iv) Half-truths are to make U-turns at your whims and fancies - like how the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’ had been sourced.
Enough to differentiate between all these?
Stig: Indeed, it is very easy to differentiate between truths, half-truths, innuendos and lies.
By using simple logic - with the infinite number of articles and opinions on the Internet, there are only a few that the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) takes the trouble to ban.
Hence, one can only deduce from these actions that the articles must therefore contain some truth in them.
Slumdog: So Salleh, you still say the RM2.6 billion found in Najib’s bank accounts is a donation?
Actually the rakyat has already had much practice and become very good at differentiating between truths, half-truths, innuendos and lies.
All Umno-BN ministers, including the attorney-general, the police chief, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and Public Accounts Committee (PAC) have been doing exactly that - telling half-truths, innuendos and lies while protecting, defending and covering up for Najib’s 1MDB, RM2.6b and RM42 million SRC International scandals.
Anak JB: If you can't win an argument and present convincing counter arguments, then you simply shut down access to websites.
Do not think that WSJ is a mere gossip paper – it has worldwide readership and read by influential business and corporate leaders.
Now, the Washington Post and Time magazine are also picking up these scandal-related stories.
Jaguh: Salleh, are you talking to your Sabahan constituency or Malaysians as a whole? Do you think that we are stupid? Please lah, it won’t work here.
Anonymous_1408265047: Salleh, there is no need to worry about our ability to differentiate between truth and lies.
We can surely do that ourselves, which is why we no longer read government-owned newspapers or watch government-owned televisions anymore.
Odin Tajué: Salleh, you made me laugh but to do so mirthlessly. There is absolutely no difficulty at all in determining what you view as truths, innuendos and lies.
See, what you don't like to hear are truths and innuendos, and what you like to hear are lies. Even idiots ought to know that.
Speaking Sense: This is a very brave minister because he is telling everyone to dismiss everything he says since everything that comes from him so far has been half-truths, innuendos and (likely) lies.
Go somewhere else if you are looking for truth, but certainly not from this minister. -Mkini
