Suspended Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin reiterated today that former attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail had evidence against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
Part of the evidence Muhyiddin said he was shown was on the flow of money into Najib's personal bank accounts.
This, he said, was the same information in the flow chart that current AG Mohamed Apandi Ali displayed when he cleared the prime minister of any criminal wrongdoing in the RM2.6 billion donation and RM42 million SRC International cases.
Muhyiddin said Gani told him of more evidence, but that information could not be revealed as the matter has not gone to court.
"I know there's clear evidence that Najib is involved in the cases. It's up to the AG (Apandi) to deal with this," Muhyiddin said at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur.
Asked if Gani had drawn up a charge sheet against Najib, Muhyiddin replied: "I don't know."
Muhyiddin also denied being part of a conspiracy to topple Najib
"There is no conspiracy," he said, bluntly
Muhyiddin was responding to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman Said (photo), on her claim that he was part of a plot to oust Najib from office.
Azalina said this after Muhyiddin claimed to have been shown evidence by Gani that Najib had committed a crime.
Muhyiddin said it was not unusual for him to meet Gani when he was deputy prime minister.
