Celebrity preacher Ebit Lew has founded the Rumah Kasih Umat in Gaza, Palestine to provide shelter for orphans.
The philanthropist rented two residences for the children of Rumah Kasih Umat, which is already housing 10 orphans.
“I cry when I look at these children. From a young age, they have to live with war every day.
“Even when I sleep here at night, I get worried. What more these children whose entire lives are tested like this,” he said on Facebook today.
Ebit, who arrived in Gaza yesterday, said he and his team had also visited a single mother with seven young children including a baby.
According to him, the woman’s husband died as a martyr recently due to a bomb attack.
“When we first arrived, everyone was sad. When I looked at the young children, my heart could not hold back from crying.
“I already feel sad after not seeing my wife, children and family for a month. These young children have lost their father, but they can still smile.
“They were happy when we brought gifts. All of them started smiling straightaway. I even found time to play with the children,” he said.
Ebit also expressed his gratitude to Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and the Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim who helped and supported him in making this mission successful. - Mkini
