PETALING JAYA: More than half of the Malaysian adult population have been fully vaccinated after 531,114 vaccine doses were administered yesterday.
In a Facebook post, the Covid-19 vaccine supply access guarantee special committee (JKJAV) said 50.2% of adults, or 11,743,096 individuals, have been fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, 75.3% of adults, or 17,625,760 individuals, have been given their first dose.
“We are on the right track to achieve our target set for the national Covid-19 immunisation programme. Thank you and well done to everyone involved. The hard work must continue,” it said.
Of the 531,114 vaccines administered yesterday, 188,474 recipients got their first dose while 342,640 received their second dose.
A total of 29,368,856 vaccine doses have been administered. - FMT
