Fully vaccinated individuals who live in states under Phase 1 of the National Recovery Plan will now be able to dine in.
Other rules relaxed for the fully vaccinated include more recreational and sporting activities, including fishing, hiking, camping, cycling, golf, and singles badminton or tennis matches.
Caretaker prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced the new relaxation after chairing a National Security Council meeting today.
Regions in Phase 1 of the NRP are Kedah, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor and Putrajaya.
These privileges will be unlocked two weeks after receiving the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, or 28 days after receiving single-dose type vaccines such as Johnson & Johnson and CanSino.
For dine-in, patrons must show their MySejahtera digital vaccine certificate.
Families, where both parents are fully vaccinated, are allowed to take their children who are under 17-years-old to dine in with them - subject to strict standard operating procedures adherence.
This also applies to recreational activities as well.
Muhyiddin, in his statement, encouraged eatery operators to set up more tables outside for better ventilation.
Restaurants and cafes at clubhouses are also allowed to operate.
Meanwhile, the caretaker prime minister also announced that pasar malam can operate, again with only fully vaccinated patrons allowed in. - Mkini
