PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin will be speaking to the nation in a televised address at 12.30pm.
The special address will be broadcasted live on RTM, Bernama TV, TV3, Astro Awani and TV AlHijrah.
Muhyiddin’s speech follows his audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong this morning. He was seen entering the main gate of the palace at about 10.55am.
While it was a scheduled audience before the weekly Cabinet meeting today, it is uncertain whether the meeting was also related to the latest political developments.
Earlier, Attorney-General Idrus Harun was spotted arriving at the palace at 9.30am. He was among the top government leaders present for a meeting at Muhyiddin’s house last night.
Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Acryl Abdullah and Malaysian Armed Forces chief Affendi Buang were also spotted arriving at the Prime Minister’s Office at Perdana Putra in Putrajaya this morning.
This follows Umno’s decision to withdraw support for the Perikatan Nasional government and Muhyiddin as prime minister. - FMT
