PETALING JAYA: Amanah has appointed former Melaka chief minister Adly Zahari as its vice president. He succeeds Husam Musa, who stepped down last year.
Party president Mohamad Sabu named Selangor chairman Izham Hashim to take over from Adly as treasurer-general.
“We are confident that these appointments will revitalise Amanah,” he said in a brief statement.
Husam stepped down from the post last year, amid reports he had fallen out with Mohamed, which he denied.
The party later said that Husam had requested to relinquish the post in order to focus on efforts to win more seats for Amanah in Kelantan.
Adly served as the state’s 11th chief minister from May 2018 to March of last year. He is also chairman of Melaka Amanah. - FMT
