GEORGE TOWN: Police have confirmed receiving a report where a 24-year-old woman was said to have met with an untoward incident while jogging at Tanjung Tokong area here.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Soffian Santong said he has received the report and the case is under investigation.
He declined to elaborate and urged the public to stop speculating on the incident.
On Sunday (Sept 12), a picture went viral that a woman was allegedly raped and beaten during an evening walk.
The post also claimed she is currently in hospital. - Star
