PETALING JAYA: Several areas in Sabah, Kelantan and Pahang will be placed under an enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Sept 16 until Sept 29 to curb the spread of Covid-19.
In a statement today, National Security Council (MKN) director-general Rodzi Md Saad said two localities in Kota Marudu, Sabah will be placed under EMCO. The localities are Kampung Kirangawan and Kampung Pinatau.
Other localities in Sabah that will be placed under EMCO are Kampung Nuntunan Apin-Apin in Keningau, Kampung Lungkidau in Ranau and workers’ housing in Ruku-Ruku Boustead farm in Telupid.
Kampung Bahagia in Kuala Krai, Kelantan and Kampung Tementong in Lipis, Pahang will also be placed under a similar restriction.
Rodzi added that the EMCOs at two localities in Pahang will be extended until Sept 29. The localities are Kampung Badong Dalam and Kampung Permatang Durian in Pekan.
Meanwhile, the EMCOs at several localities in Sabah are set to end tomorrow.
The localities are Kampung Labuan, Kampung Ambong Tolus and Kampung Rampayan Laut in Kota Belud, Kampung Narawang and Kampung Minisalu Baru (Pasir Putih) in Ranau and Taman Ria Heights in Tawau. - FMT
