PETALING JAYA: Several areas in Sabah and Pahang will be placed under an enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Sept 11 until Sept 24 to curb the spread of Covid-19.
In a statement today, national security council (MKN) director-general Rodzi Md Saad said Kampung Kuala Koyan and the Ulu Jelai sub-district in Lipis, Pahang will be placed under an EMCO.
In Sabah, two localities in Ranau, namely Kampung Lembah Permai and Kampung Desa Aman will be placed under an EMCO.
Taman Sungai Labuk in Beluran, Henry Gurney school in Keningau and Kampung Timug in Matunggong will also be placed under the stricter lockdown.
Rodzi added that the EMCO at seven localities in Paka, Dungun, in Terengganu will be extended until Sept 24.
The localities are Bandar Paka, Gong Gemia, Cacar Baru, Limbong, Kuala Paka, Taman Indah Permai, and Telaga Mas.
Meanwhile, the EMCOs at several localities in Sabah are set to end tomorrow.
The localities are Kampung Sungai Imam in Tawau, Kampung Kapakaan in Keningau, and Kampung Paris 3 in Kinabatangan. - FMT
