Newborn dies in toilet bowl as mother ‘accidentally gives birth’

PETALING JAYA: A newborn baby boy has died in a toilet bowl when the mother, who was believed to be seven months pregnant, accidentally delivered her baby in a toilet bowl while urinating.

The Selangor operations centre reported that the incident took place at an ikan bakar restaurant in Sekinchan

Sekinchan Fire and Rescue Department senior officer Mohd Khairul Anuar said his team successfully removed the baby after breaking the toilet bowl but the newborn had already died.

The 37-year-old mother was in stable condition and was sent to Tanjung Karang hospital by ambulance after the incident. - FMT
