Australian Federal Police (AFP), Queensland police and the Australian Transactions Reports and Analysis Centre (Austrac) played a key role in the arrest of Lanim, whose activities had gone undetected for 14 years.

• Australian police placed him under observation for two years.
• He was listed in multinational internal police report in 2019 
• top 10 offenders in the world for exploitation of children on the internet.
• Lanim sharing child abuse materials on the web since 2007 
• more than 1,000 images, videos depicting sexual abuse of minors
• “He was so prolific, with so many victims. That’s why he became a high priority,” 

August this year, experts at the Austrac’s victim identification made breakthrough.
In July, Australia tracked him to Covid quarantine centre
finally arrested by Malaysian police on July 5
Australian investigators identified 34 victims he had abused 

My Comments :

Tuan-tuan sejak 14 tahun yang sudah paedophile ini memperkosa dan mencabul anak-anak muda di Sarawak. 

Selama 14 tahun yang sudah dia telah muat naik lebih 1,000  (S A T U  R I B U) gambar dan video 'child pornography'. 

Dia sudah jadi Top 10 'child pornographer' dalam dunia. 

Tetapi pihak Polis kita pula tidak tahu menahu pun. 

Akhir sekali Polis Australia yang dapat kesan aktiviti kotor  binatang ini dan berjaya mengesan lokasinya melalui Internet.

Akhir sekali Polis Australia yang telah hantar pegawai mereka untuk berjumpa dengan pihak Polis kita dan akhir sekali pemangsa itu di tangkap dan di penjarakan. Syabas dan congratulations.

Tetapi kenapa pula Polis kita tidak dapat mengesan kegiatan  haram  haiwan ini? Selama 14 tahun? Lundu tidak lah jauh sangat daripada Kuching (85 + km saja).

Samada dia muat naik gambar dan video dalam Internet atau tidak, tentu sekali orang di Lundu di Sarawak mesti pernah syaki aktiviti  jenayah  si pemangsa itu? 

Takkan tidak ada seorang pun daripada beratus mangsa di Lundu selama 14 tahun itu tidak pernah mengadu atau berkongsi maklumat dengan orang lain di Lundu atau di tempat lain?

Di Perak pula kita dengar kes orang ganas pukul pengawal keselamatan dan tiada dakwaan terhadap penjenayah itu. Hanya setelah mangsa pukulan itu mati maka CPO Perak nama panjang kata entah boleh begini, entah boleh begitu pula.

Antara satu petanda sesebuah masyarakat atau negara menuju ke arah Failed State ialah apabila 'the enforcement of laws does not apply in equal intensity across the society or it does not reach all corners of the country equally'.   

Inilah antara petanda sebuah Failed State.  Better be careful.
